Can you clarify via which link you've downloaded Firefox?

The user agent i the system details list shows that you use a mobile version on an iPhone.

  • Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_1_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9B206 Safari/7534.48.3

Is this question about Firefox Home on your iPhone?

No this is about subsribing to you on my desktop laptop please could you stop the subscription as soon as I can't send messages on my laptop at the moment and would like this resolved as soon as

Make sure that you only download and install Firefox from the official Mozilla server.
The version downloaded from there shouldn't require to subscribe.

You should uninstall your current version if you got it elsewhere.

You can find the latest Firefox release in all languages and for all Operating Systems here:

If it says unsubscribe does it cancel it or do you receive a message saying you've unsubscribed or will just adjust

When u save preferences does it automatically unsubscribe I went on the link

We still do not know to what you have subscribed, so it is impossible to say what the effect of clicking an unsubscribe link will be.

Did you subscribe to an email notification?

Do you need to enter some password when you start Firefox?

Maybe attach a screenshot to clarify what you see.

Gillian, it sounds like you might have subscribed to some website providing a service of some sort, or possibly some sort of scam. Firefox never charges for any service we provide. I would try to call your credit card company and cancel your card number.

Also, try to scan your PC for malware.

Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Download and Run TDSSKiller http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363

Download and Install Microsoft Security Essentials http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials (not an official endorsement, but I personally recommend MSE as an awesome permanent anti-virus)

Double check for all Windows Updates.

After that, I would uninstall whatever version of Firefox you have, and reinstall it from www.getfirefox.com. This is the only official Firefox download location.
