All the questions answered on the AVG and the Firefox website ask how to enable it or how to see it. I want the opposite. I want to not only disable it, which I have, but to also DELETE the lousy icon from my toolbar.

go to about:config and type keywords, then disable it somehow. be careful while doing it.
