Create a desktop shortcut to a website
The advice re this given at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/create-desktop-shortcut-website?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Creating+a+desktop+shortcut+to+a+web+page works on my HP laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium.
The same advice DOES NOT WORK on my generic desktop running Windows 7 Professional.
What do I need to do to get it to work with Windows 7 Professional?
Does the support page https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/create-desktop-shortcut-website?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Creating+a+desktop+shortcut+to+a+web+page need to be modified to address different OS's?
Thank you.

What happens on your Windows 7 system? Do you get an error message? Mouse pointer indicating it's a no-go? Just nothing happens?
The feature should work exactly the same way, but with the changed security model, perhaps there are some special issues.
