How can I restore tabs after Firefox crashes?

I had several Firefox links open, and I was doing separate Facebook searches on each, plus email account, etc. Firefox crashed, closing all of my links and tabs. The problem report box appeared, asking if I wanted to report the incident. I said yes, and after a couple of minutes a message showed that there was a problem with reporting. I didn't see any way to just do the restart/restore, so I clicked to reopen Firefox, which worked fine, but it was a fresh start, showing no prior activity. I've spent time hunting for information about what I should do - - which led to several closings/re-openings of Firefox. Is there any way to recover my lost work?

Thank you for taking the time to answer. Unfortunately, I had already read these article and followed their instructions. They seem to apply to preventing future problems, rather than recovering past lost tabs. And while trying to follow the instructions, I closed and reopened Firefox several times (probably making matters harder to fix - if not impossible), so the lost tabs are now from 4 or 5 sessions ago.
