I got a virus recently (FBI virus). E-scan removed and installed newest version of their software. After that, I did a defrag on the computer. Seems since then, no sound from your browser only. I have Windows XP sp3 and have your 19.0 version with AOL browser. This is a desktop computer.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
