Do you have the classic menu bar (File, Edit, View...)? If so, you can use:

  • View menu > Toolbars > uncheck Menu Bar

If you don't have the menu bar, try either:

  • right-click a blank area of the tab bar > uncheck Menu Bar
  • right-click the "+" button on the tab bar > uncheck Menu Bar

Any luck?

If the entire top bar (title bar) is missing, Firefox might be in full screen mode. The F11 key switches between full screen and normal views.

You get the orange Firefox menu button when the Menu bar is hidden.

  • Firefox menu button > Options
  • View > Toolbars (press F10 to display the hidden Menu bar)
  • Right-click empty toolbar area

Hello, The Firefox button will automatically hidden if the classic menu bar is displayed, i.e., the full menu bar with the Bookmarks menu. (I don't know if this is your case)

You can press F10 and start up the Customize feature to customize your toolbar:* Bulleted list itemView menu > Toolbars > Customize

Here is also an article about displaying the Firefox button instead of the menu toolbar: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/display-firefox-button-menu-instead-menu-toolbar?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=how-do-i-get-firefox-button Does that work??

karendr,

This thread pertains to Firefox 27.

Do you have the latest Firefox 29 version installed? If so, the orange Firefox button is gone - no longer exists. It was replaced by the 3-bar button on the right-side of the Navigation Toolbar.

more options

In current Firefox releases (29 and later), that have have the Australis user interface, the orange Firefox menu button has been replaced by the three-bar Firefox Menu button at the far right end of the Navigation Toolbar and this button is always visible, whether you have the menu bar visible or hidden
A consequence of this location is that you no longer can hide the Navigation Toolbar

  • There is a star like button to the right end of the search bar on the Navigation Toolbar to bookmark the current web page and a "Show your bookmarks" button next to it to open the Bookmarks in a drop down menu.
You can find "Show All Bookmarks" to open the Bookmarks Manager (Library) at the bottom of this drop-down list
  • It is still possible to have the menu bar visible via the right-click context menu on the toolbars to have menus like the Bookmarks menu

  • *If you bookmark a page then "Bookmark This Page" in the Bookmarks menu changes to "Edit This Bookmark"
