Hey Diegodrift!!! I understand you are having difficulty downloading Firefox 29 for Ubuntu Linux. Am I right? I did some research on this issue. I had to go to Ubuntu's site for this information. There are 2 ways of which you could install Firefox 29 for Ubuntu LInux.

1.) Go to the Firefox download page

2.) Download Firefox for Linux

3.) Extract the file you downloaded into ~/firefox (e.g. by doing tar jxf firefox*.tar.bz2 -C $HOME)

4.) Make a backup of your ~/.mozilla directory (e.g. by doing tar zcPf ~/mozilla-backup-$(date +%s).tar.gz ~/.mozilla)

The other way is going to the Ubuntu Mozilla Security Team site. The site gives you the version of Firefox you can download and the links to add the current PPA. It's in this section: "Adding this PPA to your system." Look for the "Technical details" about this PPA." You will have to click the arrow, on the left, to view the links and details of the current PPA. Here is the link to the site:

I hope this gets you in the right direction. I will try to research this a little further. Try this out and let me know if this was any help to you.

Mozilla.org has never provided Firefox in any form of packages for Linux including .deb and .rpm as it is only as tarball.

There they had a so called installer long ago for a brief time that was really just a extra useless step for the same end result as tarball.
