Suddenly I can't get beyond the credentials page of my modem/router! I reset Firefox and it is working until the first addon installation, regardless which. On win 7, same firefox, same addons, no problem! But my primary OS is linux mint maya xfce...

Any advice?

Hi mmyron, I am sorry to hear that you can only log into the router page. What I would try to make sure that this is not an ISP is to see if you can navigate to other webpages on another browser.

Also please check to make sure there is no Firewall or antivirus that does not allow Firefox to connect to the internet. If there is a Server Not Found - Troubleshoot connection problems

Advanced panel - Accessibility, browsing, network, updates, and other advanced settings in Firefox see also for Network details.

Hi guigs2, thank you for your time...

I probably did'nt make my self clear.... There was a time a could log into my router with the same version of FF. Now I open the url, type in my credentials and FF loads again the same page (routers login page, and there is no typo error to blame for that). The router is ISP independent and I have access to it via telnet and/or another browser in Linux.

I tried to reset FF, and the problem is solved untill I install an add-on (regardless which).

What upsets me is that in windows 7 with the same version of FF and the same add-ons installed, I have no problem! I tried a different browser in my OS and again I had no issues!

Is that page using cookies?

You can try to clear the recent history including active logins to see if that helps.

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.

Hi cor-el thank you for your time...

I am not aware of the routers login page using cookies.

My setting regarding cookies is to accept everything and keep until FF closes and deleting history when FF closes.

I use the same settings in win7 (dual boot with linux mint 17) with no issues.
