The only place Thunderbird gets contact suggestions is from one of your address books. Thunderbird has 2 default books. The Personal and the Collected books. They are there someplace.

open your address book and delete them.

The ones I want to delete do not appear in the address book. They're not in the TB address book or the Mac address book.
