The add-ons option/link is missing from the menus in Thunderbird 24.6 - where has it gone and how do I install or remove add-ons?

The FAQ tells us to go to Tools>Add-ons>etc.

Not possible if it isn't there.

You are obviously using the Tools selection under the AppMenu button. The Add On selection is in the first menu when using that.

If using the old menu bar, add ons is still under Tools.

No menu bar? press the alt key.

Some programmer decided it would be cute to move all the menu choices around under the AppMenu button so none of the existing documentation would be accurate.

If you want the old menus and toolbars, select View-Toolbars from the menu bar and turn the toolbars back on. You will have to do this in each window since they all have different toolbars.

Hi Airmail,

I have the old-style menu toolbar ... File - Edit - View - Options - Tools - Help

Under Tools ... Mail & Newsgroups - Address Book - Account Settings - Options

No Add-ons

How to display it?

Here is my Tools drop down menu. Yours looks different? Are you in the main window when using Tools? The only place I see what you have listed above is when I am in a Write window.
