I just installed Mozilla Thunderbird today and being new to the program I have mistakenly placed all mail into the trash folder. How do I move them back?

I accidentally placed all my inbox emails into the trash folder. Is there a safe way to move these messages from the trash folder back to where I want them in the inbox?

Drag and drop them to the new folder or right click them and select Move To.
