Messages sent with Thunderbird do not get to recipient, but I can use other email clients that do. Settings are correct and I can check webmail and see in sent.
When I send an email it says that it is sent, but it never gets to the recipient. I am using multiple email addresses to check this and have looked in spam and all folders and the message is just not actually going through. I can log in to web-mail and the message appears in the sent folder and I can resend from web-mail and instantly the mail is received. I also installed another email client program and it is able to send mails and they go through instantly. Only Thunderbird is having issues with this. I have tried uninstalling and rebooting and then re-installing and after setup I still can not get emails to go through. If this is something simple with a setting for Thunderbird I would love a fix as we have been using Thunderbird for 6+ years. Otherwise I will just have to use the other program as it works with no mess

every time I see secureserver.net I get a cold shiver.
What is your domain? IS the Ms record set in DNS correctly? Have you tried putting your email domain into this web site to see what may be wrong with it. http://www.dnsstuff.com/
Sorry for the delay, I was out of the office for a few days and no one else does this stuff. I am not sure what your asking by domain. This is a paid email through Godaddy. I ran secureserver.net through and also cozycabinsruidoso.com and got some weird fails on the cabins address.
I believe that we will just have to use the other email client as it works without any issues.
Well lets say the most probable reason your mail goes missing is that You probably have a reply to address in Thunderbird and not in your other mail client (especially Microsoft mail clients as they just don't fill that niche by default.
Tools menu > (ALt+T) Account settings Click on the account name and remove the reply to address.
The weird errors you got from DNSStuff indicates your domain is not correctly setup tp be standards compliant. Some mail servers may refuse to accept mail from it. Yahoo being one of the most picky.
The account settings are blank for the reply to address so that is not the problem.
Is it possible to fix the domain to be compliant (I am more a click and if it works go with it guy, but I can get dirty if needed).
I got some more info from a Co-worker when I started asking more detailed questions. It seems that he opened a mail that was not good (virus/Trojan) and then someone was using our info to send spam and Godaddy had to be contacted to reset the email account password because they were using all the relays and we could not send mails at all through a client or our reservations program. He thought it was all cleared up and had ran malware removal and the system appears clean and the relays had stopped being used up. We have three computers and its the main one that he did this on and the one with the issue with mails appearing to be sent but not actually getting to the recipient. The other computers that did not have this mail opened run thunderbird just fine. I can not understand why another email client works fine on the trouble computer but thunderbird is stuck not working. Maybe this new info will help get a fix for this.
