Missing Gmail sub-folders

more options

v 31.0

Lately, I've been missing sub-folders.

I sync to Gmail -- all mail & folders are visible in Gmail, but folders are missing in Thunderbird.

My temporary fix is as follows: 1, Click the top email address 2. Click manage Folder subscriptions 3. Click refresh

Sometimes this fixes the issue, sometimes not. And, it's not always the same folders.

Currently, I'm missing 15 sub-folders.

By the way, this might be helpful...

Recently replaced the drive on iMac, restored from Time Machine... Also, performed a 'disk erase', Mac's function for cleaning-up deleted files. wondering if Thunderbird was impacted. Although, everything else on the iMac runs perfectly.

Thanks!

Chosen solution

Try a compact from the file menu... see if that helps. It will at least reindex everything.

Next open the profile folder *with Thunderbird not running) and rename foldertree.json and panacea.dat and restart Thunderbird. That will get rid of folder caches and force that part of things to be rebuilt.

Matt, thank you. Actually, things came back in sync yesterday; I'll keep this around for next time. Thanks..

Well it's returned!

I can't locate (Mac) foldertree.json and panacea.dat

Where would they be located?

Thanks much.
