I can play all videos except those on my own website which were published through a player called JWPlayer. I can play the videos in Chrome, IE, and Opera, but not Firefox. I had no problems playing these videos last year when they were first loaded; however, that was about 2 updates ago for my Firefox browser. The videos are in a mp4 format. Here er the links with the videos that I'm referring to:

If they worked last year when they were loaded, why not now? I am using the most recent version of Firefox, installed the latest version of Flash, and I don't know what to do to get these to play. If I'm having this issue, so are other users who go to these pages and attempt to view the videos.

How can this issues be corrected? Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

A. Garrett

Did anything change with your web hosting account?

My Firefox (also Windows 7) is showing an incorrect content-type header being sent by the server. You may need to modify the configuration of your Apache web server to send an appropriate content-type with .mp4 files.

If you have a shared hosting account, you might be able to do this through your control panel (check with your host) or you might need to create a .htaccess file. The following lines should cover most the most common HTML5 video formats:

AddType video/mp4 .mp4
AddType video/ogg .ogv
AddType video/webm .webm

Hi Jscher2000,

Nothing has changed that I know of with the servers, but I'll get in touch with my hosting company and ask them what they think about your suggestion.

Thanks so much for the imput!
