Recently, FF Sync stopped syncing completely. I have FF-31 on a Win7(32) desktop, a Win7(64) laptop, and on a Android cell. None of the three's new bookmarks would show up on the other. The syncing status icon says it is syncing but nooo.... I have by now, uninstalled the app on the android. I disabled all the extensions. I have reset both firefoxes. I even tried to uninstall and re-install firefox on the two computers. No luck. I have it so it is ONLY trying to sync the bookmarks, and it just can't do it. I was thinking about deleting the account and trying over with that. But I really want to use the same email, so I am not sure if I delete an account, if I can "create" an account with the same email I just deleted. Not sure this would even help. I noticed that even when I re-install FF, my old (local) bookmarks are still there, implying it is not a complete re-install. AND this could be relevant if something IN MY bookmarks library is freaking FF out? Is that possible? Over time, I have messed up stuff in that library like the "most recent" and RSS tabs, and the mobile bookmarks folder, and stuff like that. I was using the FavIcon Add-in. Any suggestions would be appreciated. (Yes, this is the new Sync, though the bookmarks did exist prior to the new sync).

HI, All of the bookmarks are located in places.sqlite of your profile. A clean reinstall would include removing the profile that is on the computer. However, making a copy of that profile folder is a good idea if you plan to reinstall to have a back up.Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles

The add on for favicons I do not know if you sync the add on if it will display, I would assume that it should.

If you would like to start over with a new account, make a copy of all the profiles with bookmarks, then remove the device from the old account and add it to the new one.

If the it has become corrupt you can also try http://kb.mozillazine.org/Bookmarks_history_and_toolbar_button...

Please post back with what you decided to do and your results.
