V24.6.0 downloads automatically...tried all options..do not want auto downloads

Thunderbird older versions do not download automatically....as on my XP machines. Using Win 7 Pro and have UNCLICKED ((and clicked and unclicked) all boxes on server menus and it still automatically downloads when I open program. Thanks.
