after last update cannot send or receive emails - no connection.
Since last update a cannot send or receive emails. It is showing that Mozilla thunderbird is connecting, but it just freezes. When I close the thunderbird window, it closes, but not the program itself, since I can only start it again if I restart the computer. I uninstalled and reinstalled thunderbird, but no luck. The emails work fine through the webbrowser. I am using windows 7 sp 1. Ypur help would be greatly appreciated. Helenasm

After reinstall Thunderbird, DId you used the Old Profile or New Profile.

Hi,
very much appreciate your response to help.I have used the old profile. I use Norton internet security firewall and it is not blocking Thunderbird.
I also left the configuration as was, since I had no problems with it until Thunderbird update. Not being very computer savvy, I would not know how to manually configure the email providers.
Thanks. helenasm

Hi,
thank you - what I have done was to remove all accounts and add them freshly again, plus I also made sure the firewall has Thunderbird added to it. Took me a little while, but it worked!
Really appreciate your help.
