I have always been able to download audio items from the ge.tt website from I. E. I've been having I. E. crash numerous times lately and decided to use firefox more frequently.

However when I try to access a ge.tt link, such as http://ge.tt?4v7Euyy1, the site will not load. The circle continues to circle and the message in the lower left corner flashes, "Looking for ge.tt and Waiting for ge.tt."

I've currently been waiting seven minutes to access the site, and am still waiting.

Have I adjusted some setting that prevents me from the site? I don't have problems with other sites I've tried using firefox.

Thank you.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

  • Clear the Cache and
  • Remove Cookies Warning ! ! This will log you out of sites you're logged in to.

Type about:preferences in the address bar and press enter.

  • Cookies; Select Privacy. Under History, select Firefox will Use Custom Settings. Press the button on the right side called Show Cookies. Use the search bar to look for the site. Note; There may be more than one entry. Remove All of them.
  • Cache; Select Advanced > Network. Across from Cached Web Content, Press Clear Now.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;

Type about:preferences in the address bar and press enter

Select Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?

Then restart.

I appreciate both responses.

I tried all suggested recommendations and am still unable to access ge.tt. However, I did not email ge.tt, but will do so now and report any success.

Thanks for your input.
