When I watch a film in NowTV a box appears at the top asking whether to allow Silverlight to continue blocking or to Allow. Normally I allow but by accident I pressed Continue blocking this time. Now it never asks me this question so I cant set it to Allow and therfore I cannot wath any films. I checked the pluggin and it is set to Always Ask.

How do I recover from this?

Many thanks..

Used the Site Identity>more Info > Permissions as you suggested. Set silverlight to Allow and NOW TV runs ok.

Thanks again for all the help, very much appreciated.

hello ericanne30, you can also adjust the plugin permissions of the page when you right-click somewhere in the web-content, and go to view page info >permissions.

Tried this and it shows Silverlight as "Use Default" which was to ask. So set to "always Ask" and tried Nowtv again. Still does not ask

Any other help would be appreciated, as you might guess I am not a techy

What does it say about plugins if you click the "Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar?

You can inspect and manage permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab via these steps:

  • Click the "Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar
  • Click "More Information" to open "Tools > Page Info" with the Security tab selected
  • Go to the Permissions tab (Tools > Page Info > Permissions) to check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab

You can inspect and manage permissions for all domains on the about:permissions page.

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.

It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

Thanks, it all looks a bit over my head. I am an OAP and only know very basics of computers. Will look at over the next couple of days and see how I get on.
