I just did a fresh install of the latest Thunderbird for OS X on my MacBook Pro running Yosemite (10.10).

It synced the mailbox hierarchy from my IMAP server but part of the hierarchy is missing.

My other email client (Mail.app) can see the full hierarchy.

How can I get Thunderbird to check the hierarchy and download those mailboxes?

Thanks.

As a followup, I created a new mailbox on another machine and Thunderbird does not see it unless I quit and restart. It still does not see the other part of the tree through.

If I create a new mailbox in a part of the missing sub-tree, the sub-tree appears but only with the new mailbox.

It also appears that Thunderbird does not see changes in the mailbox hierarchy unless I quit and restart. Is that expected?
