When I reopen Firefox it restores tabs from the previous session, however my options and settings are set to Bing as my homepage.

Every time I re-open Firefox, the tabs from the previous session appear. I have Bing set as my homepage, and in "options" everything is set to what I would like it to be (it doesn't change) however the tabs continue to re-open. I tried to get into user.js file to try those troubleshooting suggestions however there was no user.js file that I could find.

What could be the problem, and how could I fix this?

You may have a program / add-on that changes your settings. As Bing is the problem, disabled anything on your system from Bing.

Bookmark and use this; Mozilla Search Reset {web link} This add-on is very simple: on installation, it backs up and then resets your search preferences and home page to their default values, and then uninstalls itself. This affects the search bar, URL bar searches, and the home page.

Settings Guard for Firefox {web link} Detects and resets changes to settings that are frequently done by add-ons and application installers.
