This has been an issue for approximately the last few weeks and has effected both my laptop, desktop, and other employees laptops and desktops at my work. Google maps will work in normal map view. zooming in and scrolling is unaffected, however once you change to satellite or earth view, the map wont move but the street overlay does rendering the map useless. I have reset firefox. I have cleared the cashe. I have uninstalled everything including all the files, folders, and registry files related to mozilla and or firefox, and then reinstalled a fresh version of it which did not fix the issue. We are having to change all of our browsers to chrome until the issue is fixed. Please help.

Hi invictus101. Thank you for your question, I understand that after a clean reinstall that Google maps in the satellite view are slow to render high quality images.

It is possible to try Firefox in Safe Mode. This will temporarily disable hardware acceleration and isolate if it is a graphics rendering issue or if its a network issue.Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode
