I have resisted, protested, and refused to update to windows 8.1. However when my laptop was on standby it automatically and forcefully updated. Since then the laptop has had numerous issues from programs not loading, black screens, lagging, hangings, and the rare crash. However most of these problems have been with Firefox, for example Firefox can hang for 5 minutes or more, even attempting to forcefully close it in task manager doesn't work right away to close it. I have attempted to attach the 'troubleshooter 1.1a' information to my post above but I got an error message and I am not sure if it is there or not. If it is not then I will post it upon request (assuming that works)... I have updated everything I can on 8.1 (would really like to downgrade back to 8.0 but I am not sure how to without redoing everything). Firefox appears to be up to date. I have disabled 'hardware acceleration' on Firefox. I have run security and maintenance software. Any help is appreciated and thank you in advance for any assistance.
