"Please enter the master password for the Software Security Device" is popping-up everytime I open the browser after installing Firefox 34.0.5?
After installing Firefox 34.0.5 I am now getting a pop-up window with a prompt to "Please enter the master password for the Software Security Device" every time I open the browser. I don't know what has changed in my settings after updating Firefox to cause this to happen. Can you advise me how to get this to stop?

Are you using Firefox Sync?
The Sync version used in Firefox 34 uses the password manager to store the name (e-mail) and password to be used to connect to the Sync server. The chrome://FirefoxAccounts entry in the password manager stores the authentication data (kA and kB) in JSON format. Previous Firefox versions stored this data in the signedInUser.json file in the profile folder, but the current version only stores the sessionToken and needs the password manager for the password.
Yes, I am using Firefox Sync.
If you use Sync and have a MP set then you will have to accept this change in behavior and enter the MP to make it possible to connect to the Sync server. Otherwise you will get an error log appended to the about-sync-log page.
It would be good if this would only apply to Sync and state this and not about enabling the Password Manager (i.e. log in to the software security device).
The problem is how do I stop this endless request that pops up every time i open firefox.
I do not use firefox synch and no nothing about it.
How about suggestions as to turning if off or making this go away?
