How do I uninstall Enigmail?
I use Thunderbird. I installed PGP (GnuPG) and Enigmail onto my computer so I could encrypt messages sent using Thunderbird. Once I did, I realized that the messages can only be sent in simple text and incoming messages are all simple text, I decided it was not worth it and wanted to undo what I did. I uninstalled GnuPG, but have not been able to get rid of Enigmail. I deleted the folder that was associated with Enigmail, but it is still there when I open a window to write a message. I even get a message that "the message cannot be encrypted because the file is missing" every time I try to send an e-mail. I figured out how to make my messages go out in HTML, but I still get incoming messages in simple text. It's annoying. How do I get rid of Enigmail and just go back to simple Thunderbird without the Enigmail fluff?

Tools/Add-ons
Select Enigmail, select remove.
Thanks Zenos. Unfortunately I don't have that option. I have Tools, Options, Add-ons, and Enigmail as some of the choices, and none of them give me an option to remove Enigmail. I don't have the option to uninstall it from Control Panel either. I have Thunderbird 31.3.0 running on Windows 7 Ultimate.
Below is what I see. The only time I have seen the buttons for disable, remove etc vanish is due to a theme.
An alternative is to right-click the Enigmail entry and select an option from the pop-up menu.

Thank you! I was able to remove it but my incoming e-mails are still in simple text. How can I change them back to HTML format?
