Scrolling is impossible with paused Talkback.
With Talkback active or passive, scrolling is impossible. Firefox is unusable. Also there is no night-mode which reverses the colours to white on black. NextBrowser makes it better.

I filed a bug for this for the scrolling issue: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1122808
However for the black contrast, how do you activate this for specific apps? Aka, what steps are you taking exactly to activate the black theme from android?

Thank you for filing a bug.
It seems to be impossible to change the theme of Android to white on black in each app. But there are apps which allow the user to change the colours. Firefox should do that too. There is an add-on (Stylish) to change almost every colour on desktop-firefox. But Stylish for the mobile firefox is unusable. No possibility to modify a theme.
Hi,
With talkhack turned on, dragging one finger over a page will cause the text that's under your finger to be read aloud - instead of scrolling the page. You should be able to scroll dragging two fingers - does that gesture work for you?
It is possible to force pges to be rendered with white text on black, but alas it's not entirely straightforward to do. :(

Unfortunately not. I tried it with the latest update and actually neither with talkback active nor inactive scrolling is possible. Sometimes the pages scrolls a bit but it is never as smooth as one can usual expect.

- Never tried it but it looks like guigs2 may have to file another bug :-)
- Which Android phone or tablet are you using? what version of Android OS? Are you using any add-ons in Tools->Add-ons (if so try disabling them). And finally what version of Firefox for Android? I assume 35 but it's always good to know explicitly!

Happy start of the new week!

Hi Frank:
Nexus 7 2012 (1) or Nexus 7 2013 (2)? I have both and will try to reproduce the problem on the one you have. Just me know which one you.
Cheers!

Hi all,
Quick update re: changing the display to white text on a black background. It looks like there's an addon which can do this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/addon/remove-document-colors
After installing the addon, go to the Fx menu > Tools > Addons and press Remove Document Colours. Change the background colour value to #000 and the foreground colour value to #fff.
Then on any webpage, open the Fx menu > Tools > tick Remove Document Colours and the page will be rendered black-on-white.
I'd previously have suggested fiddling around with about:config, but this addon completely removes the need to do that. :)
