The l10n in links is for the other locals besides en-US

Aurora is not well working as besides the updates almost everyday, it can be unstable at times. This especially true during the versions move/merge to next channel as checkins often gets dumped on Aurora channel shortly before. This is why Aurora updates are usually disabled for some 4-5 days then.

As I said the Win64 from 37.0b2 on are automated and not officially supported until 38.0b# at earliest at moment which is why the Win64 is not being listed at https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/beta/all/ . Just because it is on ftp does not mean it is supported.

Also Beta is not on Release branch but on Beta channel.

There is a bug or two about the Win64 builds on Beta channel however I do not really want to post it as people will then treat it like a discussion forum when it is not.

ideato, there has been 64-bit Firefox releases for Linux and Mac OSX (combined 32/64) ever since Firefox 4.0 release. www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

When people ask if there is a 64-bit Firefox Releases it is almost always about the Win64 on Windows.

Hello paolocel, note that firefox nightly is basically for testing :-)

cheers

paolocel, the OP was asking for Release and not developmental channel builds like Aurora or Nightly which usually get checkins each day and therefore gets a update those days. Also that link leads to l10n builds and not en-US.

Firefox developers listen to users just for bugs!(and many of them are fixing after years!) users request for x64 version from few years ago. but if you see they are developing it, is because Google Chrome has released it. So, if you want a new feature in Firefox, first you should apply it in Chrome.

They are looking to have Win64 as early as 37.0 Release. https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/win64

It was not as if Win64 Firefox was required in order to use Firefox well on 64-bit Windows. It was just not made a top priority to go through the many various hurdles required to have Win64 Releases until more recently. They are not doing it because Chrome did however Chrome did help with doing some of the things first and the experiences on it.

in new features noticed: "New preferences implementation enabled for the first half of the beta cycle"

like version 4 and older?

if yes, we should wait some more for beta win64 version.

I really hoped Mozilla took 64-bit serious this time and would release a Win64 build for v37. But it looks like 64-bit will stuck at aurora channel like it stuck at nightly some years ago. That's a real shame! Instead of this stupid Firefox Hello and those other useless things not related to web browsing, Mozilla should focus on the really important things, that will stop Firefox' free fall in market share. 64 bit is the future!

I think there will be Win64 builds as early as 37.0b2 in automation builds however it may not be until Firefox 38.0 Beta that there will be official Win64 Beta builds and posted on mozilla.org, likely on mozilla.org/firefox/beta/all

Note: Windows 64-bit 7, 8.+ and newer will be required.

Firefox aurora in nightly branch is basically for testing, it is true, but well working. From 12 feb at http://ftp.mozilla.org/ pub/mozilla.org /firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora-l10n/ all languages Win64 Firefox37.0a2.exe and now Firefox38.0a2.exe are aurora good versions Firefox39.0a1.exe is now nightly unstable version

Now, betas are not only for testing and more better working. So from 3 mar at https://ftp.mozilla.org/ pub/mozilla.org /firefox/releases/latest-beta/win64/ FIREFOX 64 BIT FOR WINDOWS beta in releases branch--> Firefox37.0b2.exe
