sending .jpeg attachments without embedding the image inline
Hi,
I would like to send jpegs as an attachment, but without the image showing up within the email, just available to download.
tried composing with HTML off but it still renders the image in the email when it arrives at its destination.
many thanks.
Colin.

If you attach the image instead of insert, then it is an attachment. If the recipient is also using Thunderbird and has the option to show attachments inline turned on you have no control over that. You cannot insert an image in a plain text message. That is why it is called Plain Text.
