when I click the firefox desktop icon, it takes 1 min to load. help

I was having problems with firefox being unable to load. I deleted my original version and downloaded & installed a new version. This new version, however, takes about a minute or two to load. I've done the refresh thing and it hasnt helped.

Are you using Norton? Known issue with a Norton extension for Firefox 36, but I don't recall which one - sorry.
