Firefox on Mac is not allowing scrolling or other moves using the mouse. Just downloaded 36.0.1. Works on other browsers and in other parts of the computer.

Using the Mac OS scrolling and swipe controls with the magic mouse are no longer functioning after downloading Firefox 36. The feature work fine in Finder, etc, just not with Firefox. Can only scroll using the bar on the side.

Hello, sorry to hear you have a problom I have a few solutions for you to look at and try :

1. itemIs the mouse working outside of Firefox? Is it not working on all sites?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode)

While you are in safe mode;

Type about:preferences<Enter> in the address bar Select Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration. Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems? Then restart.

2. If all seems fine Update your Shockwave Flash http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/

Try both of them and get back to us.

Thanks and good luck Brad

The mouse works normally in other browsers, and with other programs/apps-so it should not be a hardware issue.

Shockwave has been updated, and hardware acceleration disabled. And still no better results.

Same issue for me as well. I am a mac user. This is a Firefox problem. It doesn't happen in Chrome or Safari and my click wheel works fine when I'm going through my mac. Again this is a Firefox issue not a mac issue. I like fire fox but I'm considering not using it anymore it's been buggy since the update.
