Firefox Sync didn't bring my bookmarks over to my new laptop, how can I get them back?
I'm not a tech savvy individual, but I created a Mozilla Sync account December 2013 when my old laptop crapped out and I got a "new to me" laptop and didn't want to lose my bookmarks in the future. Now I have a new laptop (March 2015) and I added Firefox as my primary browser, logged into my Sync account and nothing showed up from my old laptop. What did I do wrong and what do I have to do to retrieve my bookmarks? Also, accessing the old laptop is a problem, because it won't hold a charge/won't power up - hence why I finally broke down and bought a new one.

Hi, since you are having trouble, an easy way to move your bookmarks is to, on your old PC - plug in a USB flash drive, then open bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import and Backup > Export Bookmarks to HTML, then navigate to your flash drive and save them to it.
Now plug the flash drive into your new PC and open bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import and Backup > Import Bookmarks from HTML, then navigate to your flash drive and import them.
Hope that will help.

Dec 2013 - that would have been with the older version of Sync. A new version of Sync came out in April 2014 with Firefox 29.
