1) I have 4 IMAP accounts on Thunderbird. They all have folders in the profile folder and I can identify which is which clearly. 2) I deleted one of the IMAP accounts using the menu->Tools->AccountSettings->Account Actions->Remove Account on thunderbird v31.5. But the folder in the profile folder is still there. And it is taking multiple GBs of HDD space. 3) I would like to delete this folder with downloaded emails, safely, without breaking anything.

CAN I: 1) Just delete the folder (named "imap.mail.yahoo-2.com")? OR do I need some other workflow to achieve this?

I think you will be OK just deleting that folder, but to be safe, backup your profile first!
