firefox makes my Samsung galaxy 4 heat up, unlike the factory browser. after 15 min., the page starts blinking, like an instant refresh.

I can only recommend to close un used tabs and clear unwanted settings in the browser to improve performance. It is also possible to close other unused apps on the device.
