Why will my browser not allow me to open multiple tabs for the same website?

I usually edit photos online and always open five tabs from the site at once, to speed up my editing. It opens the first tab fine and then when i go open a second tab, it pops back over to the first tab. I have cleared my cache but that doesn't seem to have helped. Any ideas?

What method are you using to open the tab additional times? For example, are you using Ctrl+click on a link or bookmark?
