This literally just started: replying to an email shows neither the original message (account set at "text over original") nor any text is visible. I have turned off T-bird and also rebooted the computer.... same problem.

hold the shift keys while starting Thunderbird to go into safe mode. THat will help workout if it is an add-on or theme causing the issue.
