This is an issue with the start page "about:startpage"

When I click on the search button nothing happens. Also non of the links to bookmarks etc. work .

There is just no response.

I've tried all the fixes recommended for previously reported instances of similar issues and they didn't work.

I am using Firefox on Ubuntu and it is a clean install.

Any help much appreciated, Regards, Simon

There is no about:startpage. The address isn't valid Is this an add-on?

Or are you talking about about:home

I realise that now, I discovered the about:home address myself last night. However the about:startpage came preset in the version of Firefox that came with Ubuntu - so when I first launched the browser that was the homepage presented to me. Anyway, my issue is resolved, but I guess Ubuntu need to sort something out.

Thank you for your reply.

Apparently the about:startpage comes as part of the Ubuntu Firefox Modifications extension.
