When I click on a header in either of my inboxes, some of the messages ( but not all!) have disappeared. The header information seems to be complete, but the message has completely gone. I have tried running in safe mode and have even re-installed Thunderbird, but the problem remains. Please help before I go completely mad!

Try reindexing: Right click on Folder and select 'Properties' click on 'Repair folder' button click on OK

select another folder and then reselect the folder you repaired.

Is this IMAP or POP mail account?

Tried that without success. Things got worse. Eventually found that, no matter what I tried, I couldn't delete the inbox. Not even from Dos!

Re-installed whole system from last week's backup.

Now seems to work fine.

No doubt due to a virus. BASTARDS!
