Is there a way to set a follow-up reminder on an email message?

I would like to set a reminder on an email message, so that on a given day/time the reminder will activate and tell me about the message on which I set the reminder. I found the Tags in Thunderbird, but I prefer to have a reminder pop up. Thanks!

I'd set it as a calendar event. You can convert a message to an event and all you need to do is set the time & date for the reminder. If you synch to a remote shared calendar then you'll also get reminders on your phone, tablet or other computers, if you so wish.
