My laptop now wants a password after adding android to email. How do I undo it? I do NOT want to have to open email with a password.
I recently purchaed an LG3 from ATandT. A friend was helping me be able to use my thunderbird email account on the Android. Now I cannot receive emails on my laptop because it asks for a password and I do not know one. I want to undo what has been done. I tried restoring to an earlier point, but that didn't help. How can I just go back to having my thunderbird email on my laptop only? I can't receive an email from you.....so I don't know how you can tell me what to do. I canNOT open my email because I do not know the password!!!! Can we chat?

There is no such thing as a Thunderbird email account. You do have an account with your email provider, and you use Thunderbird (and your phone) to access it.

Setting up the account on the phone does not affect Thunderbird.

Check with your friend what exactly he or she did.

Of course not. System restore does not cover the Thunderbird profile.

Can you receive email on the phone? Then you can retrieve your password from the phone. Otherwise check with your email provider about password reset options.

That wouldn't change a thing for Thunderbird.

This is a web forum. You don't need email in order to see a reply to your question.
Can we chat?
This forum is the official Thunderbird support venue. There is no phone or chat support.
