href & other buttons not displaying on any websites
Hello, so posted this dam, nearlly a year ago: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1037895
And I've not been able to resolve the issue. I tryied searching for tech support people, but all i ever get is shady Indianian Scammers asking me to give them remote access of my computer before they will say they'll fix the issue. (which they don't even know what an href is, when I directly ask them.)
So, I wouldn't mind this so much, if it didn't show up in my Yahoo email, and no other emails (gmail, and others)
If I can't fix this soon, I might have to make a new email address just to fix this, I'd prefer to keep Firefox as my Default Browser, and not be forced to compromise with Ie or Chrome.
So, pic of the issue again:
Yes, those are the shaddy sites pretending t be forefox tech support.
But that aside, the issue is clearly visible, and I see this all over, most of the time, they're social media buttons and the like, so instead of showing and retrieving the appropriate image icon, it just gives some # codes.
Thanks for your time, -Jist

Missing icons are usually supplied by a font that is downloaded from the server (@font-face) as you might see by little boxes that show the hex code of the characters instead. If you have a font installed that covers this Unicode range then you may see a real (CJK) character and not the little box with the CSS code.
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts.
- Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
You can check the gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled pref on the about:config page and make sure that it is set to true (if necessary double-click the line to toggle its value to true).
Firefox 41 will allow icon fonts that use PUA code points to work with the font setting in "Options/Preferences > Content > Colors" disabled. Your screenshot seems to show Unicode characters in another plane.
