Do you mean that if you open a link in a new tab the the star on the Navigation Toolbar gets highlighted automatically without clicking this button?

Did this started recently?

Did you reboot the computer?

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.

Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

Still doing it after running all the software. Ever page gets add as a bookmark. If this can't be corrected, I'll need to go to Windows 10 browser.

What kind of folder is that?

Is that a so called smart bookmarks folder (place:) or a normal folder?

Smart folders show a list created by a query of the places.sqlite database that stores bookmarks and history in Firefox.
