Did you try to click the Lego block icon at the left end of the location/address bar to see what plugin this is about?

You get a (possibly colored) Lego block icon on the left end of the location bar that indicates that the web page uses a plugin that Firefox is possibly blocking. You can click this icon to see what it is about.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
