When I click on the icon to open Thunderbird, a browser page opens to google mail login. This just started happening on 12/8/2015. What SHOULD happen is when I click on the Thunderbird icon ONLY Thunderbird opens. How do I stop it from opening the google login page? (Also, when the browser page opens, all menus and controls are unavailable.)

Do you have a Gmail account, or do you use Lightning with a Google Calendar? You can inspect the URL of the 'browser page' to get an idea what this is for.
