url's no longr auto-load when I begin typing. Why?

more options

Since having updated to the newest version of Firefox (Mac/ Yosemite), when I begin typing a URL, the complete URL no longer auto-fills. For instance, before when I would begin tying "facebook.com," the field would immediately fill automatically after typing no more than the letter "f." Now I have to type the entire URL - no big thing, just a little inconvenient.

Type about:preferences#privacy<enter> in the address bar.

Look for Location Bar.

Could you check on whether this is still enabled:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste URLB and pause while the list is filtered

(3) If the browser.urlbar.autoFill preference is bolded and "user set" to false, double-click it to restore the default value of true

If that was already set to true, have you noticed anything else strange about your history?
