Will not open in safe mode. I have deleted firefox and reinstalled several times but still get the mozilla crash report. I have used refresh. I have reinstalled C Drive, Firefox will open but within a few minutes the crash report reappears.

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites. Is the problem still there?

Starting The Computer In Safe Mode;

While still in Safe Mode,

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it and select Submit.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

If you can't get Firefox to open, you will have to do this the hard way. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mozillacrashreporter Open the file browser / explorer on your computer. Note: You may have to enable Show Hidden Folders / Files. Enter this in the address bar;

Please understand, I cannot open firefox even in safe mode to be able to type "about:support" Ver 43 crashes immediately when I try to open it. The window says "there was a problem submitting your report". Does this mean that there is no report to find even if I could get into firefox? I have run a full scan with Kaspersky and malwarebytes. Still have the problem. I also ran CCleaner for windows and the register.

Let's do a full re-install.

Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link} Save the file. Then;

Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86) Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

Look for, and rename any Mozilla or Firefox folders by adding .old to them.

After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner. Then run the installer. If all goes well, remove the OLD folders when you are done.

Try to install Firefox 43.0.4

Try this:

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that works.

I installed 43.0.4. I am able to open by starting windows in safe mode and firefox in safe mode. I then started windows in safe mode with networking and firefox in safe mode. It crashed. Note: when it crashes and I choose restart or quit, it always says "there was a problem submitting your report". If I try an earlier version, which do you think I should try?

more options

It's possible. There have been issues with 43 that should have been fixed by now.

Do you have NVidia’s network access manager or Forceware Network Manager software installed? Disable / remove it. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/connectivity-crashing-firefox-43-update

As a test, disable your protection programs.

I had already removed access mgr. I tried closing my protection, still crashes. I'm going to try to get ver 38.0.1 and test it.

38.0.1 works.

Well, thats something.

Type about:preferences#advanced<enter> in the address bar.

Under Advanced, Select Update. Check the settings.

As soon as it worked I went there and changed it to "let me decide" so It wouldn't automatically update. I guess I'll use this version until I have to change?
