For many years I have used desktop shortcuts to websites. The last Firefox update destroyed their functionality. Now when I double click on one, instead of taking me directly to the target website, it just opens up Firefox and I have to type in the web address. I cannot work like this, so I want to revert to the previous version. How do I UNDO the update? Please advise ASAP. I'm so mad I want to uninstall Firefox and try something better.

Install an older version of Firefox {web link}

Changing to a new Firefox version should not change your shortcuts. But something about this Firefox could.
