somehow i have lost the new privacy page with mask. how do i get it back

Hello, check if you have firefox to "Never remember history", go from 3-bar menu on your right-up > Options > Privacy > History > Firefox will > Never remember history.

If you have set that, then you are in permanent private browsing and the purple mask is not visible :-)
