I have Firefox set up to manage my passwords and generally this works. My problem is, on initial load of a page the login information often doesn't autopopulate. Even if I click into the fields and start typing, nothing shows up and if I click into them no dropdown shows up. If I re-fresh the page, the login info starts working, consistently.

Chosen solution

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (3-bar Menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: 3-bar Menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Additional info: I need to do this page-refresh for every new page I open, e.g. it's not just once per starting FF.

That solved it, thanks.
