Is there an option to hold "sent" messages in the outbox until I elect to send them.

Migrating from Windows Live Mail and like Thunderbird very much. In live mail you cold either send messages immediately or hold them in the outbox and send them as a group when you were ready. I became accustomed to reviewing messages one last time before sending them. Other than this, every other feature seems to work better in Thunderbird.

I see that I could go offline - is this the only way to do it?

Chosen solution

There is a "send later" option in the menu, under File. Or use ctrl+shift+enter to send.
