Remember passwords for sites not an option under Security
I am not getting prompted to save passwords. I've gone through all the settings that I can find. When I got to Options > Security, I only have Remember Logins For Sites as an option. Remember Passwords for Sites is not there. I've completely uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled. Same problem exists. Help is appreciated!

Are you using Permanent Private Browsing mode? In Options > Privacy -- Always use private browsing mode when Use custom settings for history is selected for History on the Privacy tab in Options.
Private Browsing mode doesn't allow new passwords to be saved. So you need to disable Always use private browsing mode at least temporarily when you want to save a password.
No I am not. :(
Any other ideas?
Sorry I read your posting a little too quickly or I answered you based upon the title of this thread. Have too many distractions around me this morning. People forgetting to knock before opening my office door and just asking for something, interrupting my concentration.
"Remember Logins For Sites" is "Remember Passwords for Sites" with the new 'inContent' design for all of the Options tabs, plus new features were added in the Saved Logins dialog window which may have prompted the changes from "Passwords" to "Logins" in the nomenclature used in the Security tab.
But that doesn't answer your question as to why you don't have a prompt to save new passwords / logins.
If "Remember Logins For Sites" is selected and your not using Private Browsing mode, unless you have an extension or security application installed which overrides that "Remember" feature in Firefox I am at a loss for suggestions at this point.

No problem, I can relate!
I don't see anything in extensions and as far as I know and can tell there is no security application that overrides, so..... :-/
Thanks for your help! Maybe someone else will know something we don't.
